Wie es scheint, wird es noch bis nächstes Jahr dauern, bis wir die reguläre La Cuerda — Gran Milonga wieder in der Seilerei stattfinden lassen können. Deswegen haben wir für euch die folgenden Highlights bis zum Ende des Jahres geplant (für mehr Detail aufklappen):
Am 12. Oktober tanzen wir Tango an einem ganz besonderen Ort: im historischen „Salón de Actos“ des Instituto Cervantes Frankfurt.
Die lichtdurchfluteten Räume, der große Parkettboden (300 qm) und die sehr gute Akustik bieten ideale Bedingungen für eine schöne Milonga. Viele werden sich noch an frühere Tangoveranstaltungen der Frankfurt Tango Society erinnern, die hier von 2014 bis 2020 die beliebte Tardecita und Nochecita organisiert hat. Jetzt besteht erneut — oder für manche erstmals — die Möglichkeit, in diesem denkmalgeschützten Haus Tango zu tanzen.

Am 26. Oktober spielt das Tango Orchester von Siempre Tango in den Hallen der Tardecita/Nochecita.
Nachdem die Seilerei zur Zeit nicht zur Verfügung steht, haben unser Freunde der Frankfurt Tango Society dankenswerterweise das Konzert des wundervollen Orchesters Siempre Tango übernommen. Wir machen die Technik und Shipik legt auf. Alle notwendigen Infos dazu findet ihr hier.
Im November und Dezember findet jeweils am 2. und 4. Sonntag die EXILONGA in der Tanzschule Conexión statt.
Um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken, haben wir für November & Dezember eine Ersatz-Location gefunden, in der die La Cuerda — Exil Milonga stattfinden wird. Wie gewohnt jeweils am 2. und 4. Sonntag im Monat aber von 18.45 Uhr bis 22.30 Uhr und in der Tanzschule Conexión ebenfalls in Frankfurt und zwar Am Industriehof 7.
Einige Highlights sind:
- Schöner großer Raum mit Tanz-Parkett
- Vollklimatisierte Räume
- Eine gut bestückte Bar
- Gut Verkehrsanbing mit dem ÖPNV1 (2 Gehminuten zur Location) und mit dem Auto2 (3 Minuten von der A5/A66)
Also, kommt vorbei und lasst uns wieder tanzen!
It seems it will take until next year before we can host the regular La Cuerda — Gran Milonga at the Seilerei again. Therefore, we have planned the following highlights for you through the end of the year (open for more details):
On October 12th we will dance tango in a very special place: the historic “Salón de Actos” of the Instituto Cervantes Frankfurt.
The light-filled rooms, the large parquet floor (300 sq m), and the excellent acoustics provide ideal conditions for a beautiful milonga. Many will remember previous tango events of the Frankfurt Tango Society, which organized the popular Tardecita and Nochecita here from 2014 to 2020. Now there is once again — or for some, for the first time — the opportunity to dance tango in this listed building.

On October 26th, the tango orchestra Siempre Tango will play in the halls of the Tardecita/Nochecita.
Since the Seilerei is currently unavailable, our friends from the Frankfurt Tango Society have kindly taken over the concert of the wonderful orchestra Siempre Tango. You can find all the necessary information here. We’ll take care of the sound, and Shipik will be DJing.
In November and December, the EXILONGA takes place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at the Tanzschule Conexión school.
In order to bridge the waiting time, we have found a replacement location for November & December where we will hold the La Cuerda — Exil Milonga. As usual, on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month but from 6:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and at the Conexión dance school, also in Frankfurt, namely Am Industriehof 7.
Some highlights are:
- Beautiful large room with dance flooring
- Fully air-conditioned rooms
- A well steckod bar
- Good transport connections by public transport3 (2 minutes walk to the location) and by car4 (3 minutes from the A5/A66)
So, come over and let’s dance again!

Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde der La Cuerda – Gran Milonga,
leider müssen wir Euch mitteilen, dass unsere kommenden Milongas in der Seilerbahn bis auf Weiteres nicht stattfinden können. Die Stadt Frankfurt hat die Nutzung des Veranstaltungsortes untersagt, da das Gebäude nicht den aktuellen Sicherheitsanforderungen entspricht. Die Vermieterin wird umgehend mit den nötigen Renovierungsarbeiten beginnen.
Wer die Seilerei dabei unterstützen möchte, kann hier spenden.
Da derzeit nicht absehbar ist, wann der Saal wieder genutzt werden kann, sehen wir uns gezwungen, alle geplanten Veranstaltungen vorerst abzusagen.
Wir bedauern diese Entwicklung sehr und danken Euch für Euer Verständnis. Sobald wir wieder tanzen dürfen, geben wir Euch sofort Bescheid!

Dear friends of La Cuerda – Gran Milonga,
Unfortunately, we have to inform you that our upcoming milongas in the Seilerei cannot take place until further notice. The city of Frankfurt has banned the use of the venue because the building does not meet current safety regulations.
Our landlord will immediately begin the necessary improvement work, however, since it is currently not possible to predict when they are finished, we are forced to cancel all planned milongas for the time being.
